2018

What a year, I’ve barely been here on the blog, but I still want to do a little recap of my year! As I said in my 2017 post, I still love memories and throwbacks.

As for this year, I turned 20 and I celebrated it in my hometown with my best friends. I was really really busy with college (I barely made it to the second year, so that was a bit stressing). And I changed jobs! I’m working as an optician now. Compared to 2017, I didn’t have the time to travel as much. This year I visited Ljubljana, Slovenia in February and it was really cold. In summer I went to Slovenia again, it’s such a beautiful country! Also, I visited Croatia summer and went to some festivals. And I saw a few of my favorite artists live, as Guns and Roses, The Script, The Vamps, 5 Seconds of Summer, Ed Sheeran and lots of Dutch singers!

This year was a good one, I’ve had a lot of fun times with my friends and family and I’m looking forward to making much more in 2019!

Just as last year, I will discuss my 2018 New Years Resolutions and make new ones for 2019!

2018 New Years Resolutions

  1. Eat less soup, try a properly cooked meal – I achieved this one! I started cooking more with friends, and like doing it!
  2. Pass all the exams and make it to the second year – Yes!!
  3. Travel loads if possible – Well, not as much as I want to, but as much as possible yes.

2019 New Years Resolutions

  1. Keep following the CG-methode for my curls
  2. Have fun!!

I wish you all a happy new year and a good 2019 with lots of fun and love!

xoxo

2017

How fast did 2017 fly by. Oh god. Time definitely flies. Last year, I wrote a bit about what happened in my 2016. I actually quite liked that, as I am a lover of memories and throwback, so here is a little throwback to my 2017. 2017 was definitely a good year for me!

This year I turned 19, I celebrated my birthday in Hanoi, Vietnam with people I only knew one day. But it was one of the best birthdays ever. I had a gap year wherein I travelled through Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia for two months on my (almost) own. OH and don’t forget about London, Berlin, Budapest and Prague. The year I had a ‘full time’ job. The year I finally started college. And the year I moved out of my parent’s house to another city (where I come back way too much). Quite a lot of things have happened this year for me, and I’m happy with all of it. If it doesn’t bring happiness, you can learn from it, right? Yes, I’m thankful for what 2017 brought me.

Last year I made some new years resolution. Let’s see if I’ve achieved them!

  1. Post a blog every two days, or more often if possible – Maybe in the beginning, but since summer definitely not.
  2. Start the Spanish course – …. never started it oops
  3. Go to the gym every week or more (somewhere around Christmas it went wrong this year) – I actually did this before I left for Asia! And after also once a week maybe. But right now I don’t even have a membership anymore…
  4. Drink enough water – Yes achieved!
  5. Get enough sleep (8 hours or more) – Most of the times
  6. Spend less money on things I don’t need (this one is so hard haha) – Probably not
  7. Get into college – Getting in was easy, staying there is the new goal

Well, achieved 3 out of 7. And here are some new ones for 2018

2018 New Years Resolutions

  1. Eat less soup, try a properly cooked meal
  2. Pass all the exams and make it to the second year
  3. Travel loads if possible

Wish you all a Happy New Year! Let 2018 be a good one guys, may it be a year full of good memories, happiness and love xxx

2016

Last day of 2016, time flies. I would say when you’re having fun, what I definetly had this year, but also a lot of sad things happend this year in the world. So much hate and violence, so many people died. In the years before it happend too, but it seemed worse in 2016. Yet, for me personally it was a good year. Okay this wasn’t really a happy intro, but you can’t ignore the tragic things that happen in the world. But for now I want to focus on the positive and happy things.

This was the year I turned 18, the year I graduated high school, the year of my senior prom, the year I had the opportunity to travel to Tenerife, Prague, Milan, Venice and a lot more. The year I didn’t go to college after high school and decided to have a gap year, the year that I started this blog. It was also a year full with learning , not in school but in life, learning about myself, have confidence, stand on my own, how the world works. Kind of getting mature, that may be the hardest part of this year for me, but also something good. I’m thankfull for all the beautiful moments and memories I got this year. I hope that I can make much more next year. I hope that there will finally come peace in the world. And I hope that next year I will finally stick to my New Years Resolutions. Probably not but I will make them anyway.

  1. Post a blog every two days, or more often if possible
  2. Start the Spanish course
  3. Go to the gym every week or more (somewhere around Christmas it went wrong this year)
  4. Drink enough water
  5. Get enough sleep (8 hours or more)
  6. Spend less money on things I don’t need (this one is so hard haha)
  7. Get into college

I wish you all a happy new year, may it be a year full of happiness and love. 🙂
