This look is totally something different from what I normally wear for makeup, but I love it! Last week I bought some new colors at KIKO, you can read about that here. Immediately I wanted to play with all the colors, they were perfect for a mermaid inspired look!

That’s the finished look! I’m really happy how it turned out. Actually, I wanted to film this look, but if your head is constantly out the view, it’s not going to work of course. Need to stick with blogging I guess. Maybe in the future, we’ll see.

Also, to be updated on my makeup looks, follow my other Instagram! I recently opened a new makeup related account. I will post photos from my looks there, that you can later expect on my blog!

KIKO Eyeshadows | Shoplog

IMG_5826.JPG

Oops, I did it again…

The sale is everywhere, and when I saw all the discount on eyeshadows at KIKO, I just had to get some. For a while now I was thinking about buying some more colorful colors, as I mostly only own basic nude colors. So when I saw all these colors at KIKO, I decided to buy a few. I don’t know the exact prices anymore, but they were all between €2 and €4!

This is such a beautiful blue, it’s the perfect color for a unicorn or mermaid inspired look. Well, that is also quite the reason why I bought these, for me “weird colors”. This is the color 29 from the smart eyeshadow line.

Normally, green is not really my color. But this green is so glowy! This is also really a unicorn green. It reminds me of the green that’s in de Unicorn Highlighter! This is color 84 from the High Pigment Wet and Dry Eyeshadow line. It is already pigmented, used dry. But when you use it wet, it gets more pigmented and also a beautiful glow.

I couldn’t resist this lovely pink color. It’s perfect for a romantic all pink makeup look! It’s color 18 from the smart eyeshadow line.

How beautiful is this eyeshadow! Look at the pattern, the color, the glitters, the glow. I love it so much, this is definitely my favorite purchase! It’s color 224 from the Water Eyeshadow line.

As last I got this beautiful glittery blue eyeshadow stick. Does it stand out that I only have bought glitter eyeshadows? It’s really pigmented. It’s color 112 from the Eyetech Look Eyeshadow line. Isn’t KIKO so original with their names for the colors?

I’m really happy with all my new eyeshadow colors, and also really excited to play with them! Can’t wait to share some new colorful looks with you!

Glowy bronzy look | MOTD

IMG_5783.JPG

When I think of a summer makeup look, I think about lot’s of color or a classy glowy bronze look. As I love natural colors more (and I also went for dinner with this look), I went for the glowy bronze look. Enjoy!

That’s the finished makeup look! If you want it more glowy and bronzed, you can, of course, use more highlighter and bronzer. I was already quite glowy because of the warmth, but I couldn’t resist using more highlighter. Oh well…

Hope you liked it and have a nice day!

Purple Smokey Eyes | MOTD

IMG_5738 (2).JPG

It’s been such a long time since I posted an MOTD! I haven’t been wearing makeup that much anymore, but a few days ago I really got the urge to play around with eyeshadows. The look ended up to be a purple smokey eye, all colors from the Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons palette. I love that palette way too much, it’s the one that I use most for MOTD’s on the blog! I will tell you have I’ve achieved this purple look.

  • Crease – Dark Truffle (Too Faced)

  • Inner Corner and Brow Bone – Satin Sheets (Too Faced)

And that’s the finished look! Not really a summer MOTD, but the purple makes the smokey eye less dark. Perfect for a fancy dinner or party!

Hope you liked it! It made me really happy to play with all my makeup again so there will be coming more makeup related posts again. I like OOTD’s, travel diaries and food, but makeup will always be the main subject on my blog. I just love it too much!

Unicorn makeup & outfit

At the moment we’re having carnaval here, a festivity where you dress up and party. I decided last minute that I would go, so I didn’t have the time to buy anything. Instead I created my own unicorn horn and outfit, and I would love to share it with you! 🙂

This was what I was wearing. I made the Unicorn horn from paper, just as the ears and placed this between a flower headband I had from Primark. For clothes I was wearing this silver glitter shirt from H&M and a pink skirt I found in my sisters closet. The poofy pink skirt was from carnaval a few years ago.

For makeup I also went a bit more festive (lots of highlighter )

FACE: L’Oréal True Match Foundation, Maybelline Fit Me concealer, Maybelline Matte Me powder, Makeup Revolution Contour Palette, I heart Makeup Unicorn Highlighter, Freedom Blush Palette

EYES: Catrice eyeshadow Base, Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Palette (pink color), eyeliner & mascara and glitters from the primark glitter palette

LIPS: NYX Liquid Suede in Amethyst

That’s it, I really loved it.

Thanks for visiting, have a nice day!

I HEART MAKEUP Naked Chocolate Palette | Review

iheartmaku

This palette is so adorable! Just look at the packaging, so cute how they made this chocolate bar. I’m owning this cute palette for a while now, and I figured it was time to review it on my blog.

IMG_5100.JPG

The I HEART MAKEUP Naked Chocolate Palette really reminds me of the Too Faced Chocolate Palettes. I believe I HEART MAKEUP is known for the Too Faced dupes. They also have these heart blushes and highlighters that really look like the Too Faced ones.

The colors in this palette are so lovel. All very natural, but also great to make a more smokey look. I also love how they put in matte but also shimmery colors.

IMG_5092.JPG

Smoothly – Divine – Mocha Lover – Dipped – Choc-fest

The first row of eyeshadow are very natural and shimmery, expect the first and last one.

IMG_5094.JPG

Adorable – Buttons – Frosted Choc – Delight – Sweet Shop – Sugar

These colors are darker, and I feel like they also are more pigmented. Is that possible? Would be very strange actually. I’m really loving the color Frosted Choc. It’s so beautiful as a popping eyelid color. Most of the colors in this row are shimmery

IMG_5096.JPG

Double dip – ‘Tob-le-rone’ – Wonka – Milky – Way

The last row, most of the colors in this row are matte. It stands out that the matte colors are less pigmented than the shimmery colors. They’re still great, just a little less pigmented.

The palette is really lovely. The shimmery colors are beautiful and very pigmented and in combination with the matte colors you can make amazing eyeshadow looks. The packaging is adorable, and another advantage is that the palette is affordable. It’s only €10. It’s great!

Thank you for visiting, have a lovely day! xxx

  • Concealer on my eyelid to cut the crease
  • Eyelid –  Cotton Candy with underneath Satin Sheets
  • Inner Corner – Sprinkles

NYC High Definition Liquid Eyeliner Pen & NYC Big Bold Mascara

img_5074img_4999img_5060

That’s the finished look! I hope I could help someone, or give some inspiration for maybe a valentines date or party or something. I’ll probably stay home, watch some movies on netflix and eat chocolate or chips or just both hehe.

I wish you all a lovely day, and tomorrow a lovely valentines day. And remember, don’t be sad if you don’t have a valentine. You don’t need a man or women to be amazing!

NYX Lingerie | Review

IMG_5082.JPG

A while ago, when I was in London I purchased some products from NYX. I already wrote a review about the brow pomade and liquid suede so now it’s time for the NYX Lingerie liquid lipstick! I had seen so much pictures already of all the beautiful colors, so I was glad that I could finally check them out myself.

IMG_5085.JPG

The applicator is different from the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream lipsticks. This one is a bit longer and thinner, what makes it easier to apply the lipstick. The color stays for a long time on the lips, and it doesn’t feel drying at all!

img_5090

I went for the color Embellishment. It’s a greyish/purple color, very cool toned also. This one grabbed my attention immediately. I love how it is a nude color, as all the colors in the NYX Lingerie line, but it’s also very different from the others because of the purple in it.

Once again, NYX doens’t dissapoint me. I love their products and I’m looking forward trying out more beautiful lippies!

Have a lovely day! I’m having snow here in the Netherlands, it always comes so random and unexpected haha. My cute little bunny loves it though!

MAKEUP REVOLUTION ultra contour palette | Review

IMG_4951.JPG

In a lot of my MOTD posts, I tell I use the Makeup Revolution Ultra Contour Palette for contour. (for example here, here and here) I thought it was time to properly write about the palette, as I use it almost everytime I put on makeup.

IMG_4957.JPG

This is what the colors look like, please don’t mind the quit dirty mirror and just everything. I have it for over a year now, and I also used it a lot. The palette contains 8 colors to contour and highlight. The first row are highlight colors. The first two are matte, pink toned and yellow. (reminds me of the banana powder). Honestly I barely use them, because I always use another finishing powder. Sometimes I use the yellow one under my eyes though, to make me look more awake. The two highlighters next to it are beautiful! I love the third one in the row the most for a natural glowy highlighter. It gives a lovely glow, but not like bam NikkiTutorials glow (love that though, but personally not for everyday). The other one is soooo pretty, that’s the one I use when I want a cool toned more shiney highlighter.

The second row are the contour colors. Actually I only use the second one, because I had the feeling that looks the best on my skin. Cool toned again. But after I made some swatches, I saw that the first and third are also quit fitting!

IMG_4959.JPG

Here you see the swatchs of the first row, the ‘highlight’colors. The pigmentation is great. Also the difference between the two highlighter is showable here.

IMG_4962.JPG

The contour colors! These also are very pigmented. The last color is a shimmery bronzy color. I think it would be lovely for a summer bronzed look!

wp-image-728771929jpg.jpg

On an everyday basis, I always try to keep my contour and highlight as natural as possible. Most of the times I use the third highligther. On the picture above you can see the contour and highlighter together. For me this was quit much contour.

I really love the palette. The colors are great for me, the pigmentation is very good and it’s also affordable. It’s only 10 euro! I recommend this palette to anyone who is looking for a affordable powder contour palette.

Thank you very much for visiting. Have a lovely day!

MOTD: Purple purple purple | NYX Liquid Suede

IMG_4944head.jpg

Normally I don’t wear bright colored lipcolors, I always go for the more safe colors like dark red or nude. Lipcolors that tend to purple or have something purple in it, are also colors that I love. So when I was in the NYX in London and saw this bright purple lipstick I just knew I had to have it. This is the NYX Liquid Suede in Amethyst

IMG_4947.JPG

This is what the color looks like. It’s a very bright blue/purple color and cool toned. I never wear something like this, this is my first bright ‘different’ lipcolor in my collection. I’m surely not going to wear this on a everyday basis, but this color would be amazing for a festival or something. Or maybe summer, or just when I want to be different and want to step out of my comfort zone.

img_4937img_4939

Here I am wearing the color. My mom doesn’t like it haha, it makes me look pale she says, what is true. But I really like the color, it’s so different. I love it.

I chose for this cool toned, icy silver eye look. The lipstick is so cool toned, that I thought a cool toned eyeshadow looks would look the best with it. But that’s my personal opinion and taste. Also I love how purple and silver look together, I think they look so beautiful together. I even chose a silver highlighter.

FACE: Catrice Even Skin Tone Beautifying Foundation, Catrice Liquid Camouflage High Coverage Concealer, Maybelline Matte Maker Mattifying Powder, Makeup Revolution Ultra Contour Palette (Contour + Silver Highlight), Essence Silky Touch blush in 20 Babydoll

EYEBROWS: NYX Tame and Frame Brow Pomade in Espresso, Catrice eyebrow gel

IMG_4923 (2).JPG

EYES: My plan was to create a cut crease, but again it went wrong.

+ NYC High Defenition Liquid Eyeliner and NYC Big Bold Mascara

I hope you liked it! This is really out of my comfort zone, as I barely wear makeup on a daily base, and when I do, the most crazy I go with makeup is a attempt of smokey eyes and darker lips. However, I’m really loving it so far, so maybe I will create more ‘out of my comfort zone’ looks. 🙂

Thank you so much for reading and visiting. Have a lovely day!
